Bobby Wayne Goff, 64, of Concordia, Kansas, left this earthly life on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Concordia, Kan. He was born on March 23, 1957, in Wenatchee, Wash., to Leonard A. & Frances L. (Huddleston) Goff.
He graduated from Jewell High School in 1975.
He married Tina Hill on February 24, 1979, in Concordia, Kansas, at The Wesleyan Church.
Bob worked for the Cloud County Highway Dept. as a heavy equipment operator for 30-plus years until his retirement in 2012. He coached girls’ youth softball for nine years and maintained the West Branch & Fairview Cemeteries for 20-plus years.
Bob enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and gardening, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He loved to visit and always had a story or a joke to tell.
He is survived by his wife, Tina, Concordia; daughter, Samantha Goff (Skylar Wiley), Concordia; brother, Allen Goff (Joycelyn), Winfield, Kan.; mother-in-law, Liz Standley, Jamestown, Kan.; brothers & sisters-in-law, Phillip Hill (Bobbie), Ord, Neb., Dale Hull (Rita), Herrington, Kan., Scott Hull (Diane), Lincolnville, Kan., Bruce Hull (Diane), Lincoln, Neb., Lee Ann Peters (Jerry), Gypsum, Kan.; two grandchildren, Christian & Caidence; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents & fathers-in-law, Glen Hill & Frank Standley.
It was Bob’s wishes to be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, with Pastor Al Paredes officiating. The family requests casual dress for the services. Visitation will be on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m., all at the funeral home. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date in West Branch Cemetery. The family requests no flowers but suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice in care of the funeral home.
