Edith Luella Emma Linden Sallman

Edith Luella Emma Linden Sallman, age 100, of Concordia, Kansas, left this earthly life on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia. She was born on October 2, 1922, in Belleville, Kansas, to Charles & Alice (Beauchamp) Currie.
She married Clifford Sallman in Concordia, Kansas, on August 31, 1939, and he preceded her on June 1, 2002. She later married Lewis B. Linden on January 19, 2008, and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2020.
Edith worked as an office manager for Sallman Real Estate & S&S Auction until 1978.  She was an owner of an antique shop from 1978-1987 and then worked as a picture framer at Picture This from 1992-2007.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, AARP, Red Hat Society and Booster Club, all of Concordia.
She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Shanks, Marilyn Lowell (Rodney “RJ”), both of Concordia, Alice Goddard, Jamestown, Fran Trost (Larry), Concordia and Ruth Gardner, Topeka; niece, Sheryl Williams (Dennis), Concordia; nephew, Ron Currie, KC, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren & all of Lewis Linden’s family.
She was preceded by her husbands, Clifford Sallman & Lewis Linden; daughters, Judy Valcoure & Iris Lee; sons-in-law, Bob Shanks, Bob Lee & Ron Goddard; grandsons, Brian Valcoure & Addai Dexter Streeter; brother and sister-in-law, Merle & Helen Currie & her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Concordia, with Jim Winter, PMA officiating.  Burial will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Norway, Kansas.  Visitation is Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 1-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m., all at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials to Sunset Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
