Evonne M. Moe

Evonne M. Moe, age 78, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas. She was born on July 27, 1943, in Concordia, Kan., to Don E. & Leola M. (Huber) Abbey.
She graduated from Concordia High School, Class of 1961. She married Eldon E. Moe on June 10, 1962, in Concordia. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2006. They farmed in Thief River Falls, Minn., for over 40 years before returning to Glasco, Kan. She was a member of the American Legion & VFW Auxiliaries in both Thief River Falls, Minn., and Concordia, Kan. Evonne was passionate about the farming lifestyle, operating the Ortner Steam Engine at Rollag and card playing with her friends.
She is survived by her son, James Moe, Vidor, Texas; sister, Alta Jean Ginn, Great Falls, Va.; special friends, Mike & Pam Blochlinger, Concordia & a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; her parents & a brother, Don Abbey.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.  Burial will follow at Morrison Cemetery, SW of Concordia. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, from 1-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m., all at the funeral home.
