Gregory Otto Andrews passed away on December 13, at the age of 63.
Greg was born in Lindsborg, Kansas, on September 4, 1959, to Louella and George Andrews. He loved sports and was a great athlete. He played basketball, baseball, track and field, and football growing up and was even offered athletic college scholarships. Ultimately he served his community through the HVAC industry, co-owning his own business for many years.
Greg was an avid Chiefs, Jayhawks, Royals and Shockers fan. Any time they were playing, you would find Greg gathered around a tv and surrounded by wonderful friends. If his grandkids were playing, he did his best to attend their games, or watch some videos and brag about them to anyone who would listen. He really was at his happiest when he could combine sports and people he loved.
When Greg retired, he and his wife Jo spent a lot of time at their lake house in Toronto. It was a peaceful place for him and he had fond memories of his time there.
His smile will truly be missed here on earth and we are thankful that he is at peace and reunited with his Jo.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jo. He is survived by his two children, Dustin (wife Amy; grandchildren Ava and Cole), Christina (partner Dan); his sister, Debbie (husband Kenny); brother, Bobby (wife Barb); nieces and nephews, cousins, and many, many friends who loved him dearly.
Funeral Service: Saturday, December 17, 2:00 p.m. at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 South Seneca Wichita, 67213.
