Jeanne Eloise Boling, age 96, of Valley Falls, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kan.
Jeanne was born on September 8, 1925, to Jim and Windess (Crites) Carnahan in Clay Center, Kan., where she grew up with her three brothers and sister.
She married Ferdinand (Bud) Boling in May 1949. Bud preceded Jeanne in death on March 6, 1984.  They made their home in Clyde, Kan., and raised their four children. After Bud’s death she moved with her daughter to Valley Falls, Kan., where she lived until her passing.
Jeanne had spent many years working on the family farm in Clyde and raising her children. Later on, she worked at local restaurants and Park Villa Nursing Home. She retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Statistics office in Topeka.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand (Bud) Boling; brothers, Paul Carnahan, Dales (Doris) Carnahan, David (Lois) Carnahan; sister, Anna Mae (Igor) Kondratieff; daughter, Debbie Coker; grandson, Jimmy Bunting; granddaughter, Cher Knudsen, and daughter-in-law, Jane Boling. She is survived by her daughter, Dedra (Ross) Platt of Valley Falls, Kan.; sons, James (Donna) Bunting of Wellington, Colo., Richard Boling of Aurora, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Margaret Carnahan of Forbestown, Calif., Maxine Boling of Clyde, Kan.; grandchildren, Alan (Micaela), Dawn (Steve), Scott (Connie), Kelly (Jeff), Jamie (Ricky), Jeremy, Jessica, and Joseph; 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at The Branch in Clyde, Kansas, with Pastor Michael Ostermann officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 2 and ¼ miles south of Clyde on the St. Joe Road.
Family and friends are invited to share in a meal served at the Clyde Senior Center following the graveside service, where they can continue to share memories of Jeanne’s life and fellowship.
