John Wallace McCall

John Wallace McCall, 90, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023.
He was born January 30, 1933, in Culver, Kansas, the son of Raymond and Winifred (Wells) McCall.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1951.
He joined the United States Air Force and proudly served for four years during the Korean War.
John spent mort of his life as a business owner. For more than 40 years he owned and operated McCall Concrete and McCall Homes in Topeka.
When John wasn't at work, you could find him traveling with his wife Joyce. They enjoyed their travels to the Ozarks, Alaska and Colorado.
John was an avid skier, both on land and water. He enjoyed boating and flying. John enjoyed listening to Bing Crosby.
He treasured his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed.
When his sons were little he coached their sports teams. His love for sports continued throughout his life.
John married the love of his life, Joyce Berk, on April 12, 1969, in Concordia, Kansas. They shared 54 years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce McCall; sons, Mark (Gigi) McCall, and Kent (Lana) McCall; grandchildren, Magdaline McCall, Travis McCall, Mason McCall, and Jadyn McCall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Winifred and siblings, Charles McCall, Eileen Hereth, Don McCall, and Ray McCall.
The family will greet friends at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Parker-Price, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Ave., Topeka.
