LADAWN (TAYLOR) AVIS

LaDawn (Taylor) Avis passed away on April 16, 2019.  She was born with her twin brother Willie on June 6, 1957, in Washington, Kansas.  

She leaves behind Willie (Debbie) Taylor; her children Jessica Gray and Lester Gray; brothers Max Tate (Donna), Randy Tate, Rob Avis (Dawn), Alan Avis and Mark Avis; and sisters
Brenda Marcot and Dedra Landon (Ken); as well as her uncle Dick Taylor (Elsie) and great uncle Doug Parks (Elaine) and uncle John Briggs (Constance); aunt Joey Briggs (Jerry); as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
LaDawn was preceded in death by her father Warren Taylor; stepmom Florence Jean; mother Barb Avis; second father Jim Avis, and children Vicky and James Jr.; as well as her brother, Tom Taylor.
LaDawn had a great love for animals and always had pets. She leaves behind her beloved cat Me Me.  She had a dry sense of humor and appreciated a good laugh. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. LaDawn was a hard worker and always had a job until health issues came up. She took care of her mom Barb through a long battle with cancer; then she took care of her dad Jim until he passed away as well. Shortly after they passed, she returned to Kansas to spend time with her family there.

LaDawn will be interred in a private service at Rose Meron Cemetery in Oak Hill, KS.  Arrangements are being handled by Neill-Schwensen-Rook funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the LaDawn Avis Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date,  c/o Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
