Linda Catherine Moore, 79 years old, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on July 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. Linda was born on December 17, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri, to parents, John & Maurine Moore.
Linda grew up in Concordia, Kansas, graduating from Concordia High School in 1961 and completing her education at Marymount College in Salina, Kansas. Upon graduation, Linda worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., before settling into her profession as a travel agent for 30 years, traveling to over 20 countries. In 1969, Linda married Army Captain James Peters and had three children, Lisa, Alison and Andrew, whom they raised in Marietta, Georgia. When Linda wasn’t raising her children or working, she was spending time with friends at the beach or the lake, knitting hats and blankets for the Children's Hospital, volunteering at her church or traveling the world. Linda was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda was predeceased by her mother, Maurine Catherine Moore; her father, John Wheeland Moore, and her sister, Katrina Moore Alley. She is survived by her brother, John Wheeland Moore II (Rachel); her children, Lisa Ann Logan (Todd), Alison Peters Brown (Derek) and James Andrew Peters, along with her six grandchildren, Alec & Austin Bunce, T.J, Ethan & Emma Brown, Josephine Peters, and her sister’s children, Jessica Stagg (Thomas) and Justin Alley (Becky).
Linda will be laid to rest at Hollis Cemetery in Clyde, Kansas.
