Melissa Sue Wilson

Melissa Sue Wilson, 61, Gardner, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at KU Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Melissa was born January 18, 1963, in Concordia to J. Bradley Lowell and Carolyn Sue (Ball) Gum. She worked as general manager for Dollar General in Gardner.
Melissa married Brian Wilson on June 15, 2006. Melissa loved the outdoors and taking care of her lawn and flowers.
Melissa will be remembered for her contagious laugh and great sense of humor.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Brad Lowell, grandparents, Ralph and Bertha Ball, Art and Elsie Lowell, and uncle, David Ball.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; mother, Carolyn Sue (Daryl) Gum; children, Justin Bradley (Celia) Crum, Alyssa Alice (Jay) Warren, Torey Arthur (Tara) Taylor; stepmother, Lee Lowell; brothers, Jay (Ann) Lowell and Jim (Lori) Lowell; grandchildren, Carter, Lillian, Foster, Abram and Lena Warren; Everlee and Charli Crum.
A private family service will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Warren Place Venue, Gardner, Kansas. Visitation with family greeting friends to follow.
