Norman Ray Hogue

Norman Ray Hogue, my beloved father, was 93-1/2 years old when he passed away on Thursday morning, April 7, 2022, at Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1928, in Concordia, Kansas. Norman worked for the Federal Government Department of Defense as the Supervisor of the Military Photographic Squadron at Norton AFB and then March AFB. He was a proud Air Force Veteran and had a Civil Service Career that spanned 45 years.
He moved from Calimesa, Calif., to Peoria, Ariz., in 1993 to Westbrook Village where he resided since that time. His hobby was jogging, where he did marathons in Loma Linda (Calif.), Concordia (Kan.) and Phoenix (Ariz.). He also loved everything cars.
Norman leaves behind his daughter, Deborah Shoop, a Pediatric Speech Pathologist; his son-in-law, Jack Shoop, the IBM Service Delivery Manager for Arizona; his granddaughter, Katie Murphy, a Medical Billing Specialist; and her husband, Dylan Murphy, an IBM System Service Representative. His great-grandson, Nikolai Murphy, works at Little League Baseball and being a great student.
Norman was preceded in death by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Micheline Parisi Hogue; his parents, Ray and Gertrude Hogue; and his sister, Barbara Ormand.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Condolences may be shared at www.menkefuneralhome.com
