Nyle Milner Miller

Nyle Milner Miller was born on November 16, 1953, in Concordia, Kansas, the son of Paul W. & Esther D. (Milner) Miller. He passed away at his home near Smithville, Missouri, on November 12, 2022, at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
Nyle graduated from Belleville High School. He then attended Cloud County Community College and later Kansas State University, where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
He worked at M-C Industries in Belleville for over 25 years. He then went to work for Reinke Manufacturing in Deshler, Nebraska, holding positions of VP of manufacturing and also VP of quality assurance. In 2003, Nyle and Jolene moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where they lived for 13 years. While in Iowa, Nyle worked for Farnam Companies, ConAgra Foods and MidAmerican Energy Company until his retirement. They moved to Smithville, Missouri, in 2016 to spend their retirement closer to their grandchildren.
In his spare time, Nyle enjoyed pheasant and quail hunting, fishing and flying small aircraft. He was a lifetime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a lifetime member of the Kansas State Alumni Association, and he carried a lifetime Hunting and Fishing license in the state of Missouri. He was also on the Kansas State University Mechanical Engineering Board.
Nyle is preceded in death by his parents.
His memories will be forever cherished by his wife, Jolene of Smithville; daughter, Kendra Reith and her husband Brent of Onaga; stepdaughter, Shelly Hinson and her husband Jori of Kansas City, Missouri; stepdaughter, Shannon Doyle of Hartsel, Colorado; and stepson, Shaun Doyle and his significant other Michaela Clem of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zac Doyle and wife Sara and their son Brogan of Manhattan; Pryor and Madalyn Hinson of Kansas City, Missouri; Brigham Reith of Onaga; Rowan Doyle of Omaha, Nebraska; and his beloved Siamese cat, Gizmo.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville; burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, rural Belleville.
Memorials are requested to the K-State Flying Club or the American Diabetes Association, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
