Richard Lesperance

Richard Lesperance, age 68, of Topeka, Kansas entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2024. He was born on June 9, 1955, in Concordia to Paul Lesperance and Charlene (Doebele) Lesperance.

He was a 1973 graduate of Concordia High School. He also graduated from Wesley Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology in 1982 and Wesley Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine in 1984. He worked for Newman Memorial Hospital in Emporia before working at Cotton-O'Neil Clinic in Topeka performing nuclear cardiac imaging.

Richard married Karen Moylan in 1989. From this union three children were born. The three children were the light of his life.  Richard also has two grandchildren.

Survivors include his mother, Charlene, Concordia, Ks.; two sons, Kalen and Kane, both of Topeka, Ks.; one daughter, Regan , Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren , Holden and Avery Jo, both of Topeka, Ks.; two sisters, Janet Conn, Stuggart, Ks.; Anita Stortz, Victoria, Tx.; two brothers, David Lesperance, Topeka, Ks.; Darrell Lesperance, Concordia,  Ks.; numerous  nieces,  nephews,  grandnieces  and grandnephews.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Paul, brother Michael, and nephew Sean.

It was Richard's wish to be cremated so there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia Ks with the Rev. Joseph Kieffer officiating. The rosary will be prayed at 9:30, prior to mass. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, Ks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Midland Care Hospice House, sent in care of Midwest Cremation, 525 SE 37th Street, Topeka, KS, 66605.
