Stephen “Steve” R. Davis

Stephen “Steve” R. Davis, age 67, of Downs, Kansas, formerly of Concordia, Kan., entered  into rest on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Osborne County Memorial Hospital, Osborne, Kansas. He was born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, to Jack and Alice (Flesher) Davis.
Steve was a 1972 graduate of Concordia High School.
He worked as a sales person and manager for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Old Home Bread and then Resource Management. He married Valerie L. Marsh on Nov. 17, 1973, in Delphos, Kan.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. Steve and Val were dedicated volunteers for Relay for Life in both Ada and Concordia.
Steve is survived by his wife, Valerie Davis, Downs, Kan.; daughter, Tobi Davis, Omaha, Neb.; daughters, Shelby Hardesty (John), Minneapolis, Kan., Ashley Ubinger (Keith), Edwardsville, Kan. & Kylee Davis Adams, Lincoln, Neb.; brothers, Jim Davis (Becky), Branson, Mo., Randy Davis, Concord, N.C., Scott Davis (Renee), Jamestown, Kan., and Robert Davis, Concordia, Kan.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his faithful canine companions, Jersey and Coco and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Alice.
It was Steve’s wishes to be cremated and the family will hold a private memorial service.
