Letter to the Editor 11-25-22

Dear editor:
Thank you, our friends and community members, who helped us move into the North Central Kansas Medical Center.
It truly took a village of people to help us, and I would like to take the time to thank them.
Thank you First United Methodist Church and Concordia Lutheran Church for providing incredible meals to our volunteers and staff. Thank you to the Concordia Rotary Club, The Concordia Lutheran Church, The Citizens National Bank and F&A for providing drinks and snacks.
Thank you to Mr. Snavely, Mrs. Henderson, Mr. Hyman and Mr. Hinkle's high school and junior high classes for all of the manpower for our move. We wouldn't have been able to lift some of our heaviest loads without the helping hands of the CCCC Nursing and Wind Energy classes as well as Coach Gilliland's baseball team.
The city of Concordia and EDP Renewables were on hand to help move along with many community volunteers.
I risk forgetting one or two of our individual community members if I attempt to list them all by name, but want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to each of them! A big giant thank you to Dannie and Deb Kearn with Kearn's Auction House for helping us prepare and auction our remaining items from the old building.
Thanks to Concordia EMS for moving our most precious cargo, our patients.
Finally, a thank you to our board members, foundation members, Auxiliary and staff who all worked so hard to make this move possible.
W.T. Purkiser once wrote, “Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our Thanksgiving.”
This new building is a great blessing, and one we will use to care for our community. In this season of Thanksgiving, I am grateful to be a part of this thriving community and look forward to serving all of you in the years to come.
Sincerely,
Dave Garnas
