Matthew to run write-in campaign for CCCC board

Mark Matthew has announced that he is running a write-in campaign for a position on the Cloud County Community College board of trustees in the November 2 general election.
The seats currently held by Jesse Pounds, Patricia Owensby Macfarlane and Greg Askren are up for election in November.
Pounds and Macfarlane have filed for re-election.
Askren is not seeking a fourth term on the board.
Matthew, who is Macfarlane's husband, served one term on the Concordia city commission. He moved out of the city limits and could not run for a second term.
Macfarlane and Pounds will be on the ballot. The winner of the third open seat will be determined by write-in votes.
