Bruce Nutter, owner of Nutter Mortuary, is serving on the Kansas Funeral Directors Association scholarship board.
Scholarships are being awarded for the upcoming fall and spring semesters.
Applicants for scholarships must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours in a mortuary science program at an accredited mortuary science school for the semester for which the scholarship will be applied.
The applicants must be registered with the Kansas State Board of Mortuary Arts.
“I have always believed in supporting this program, as I have mentored several students in the past who have become licensed morticians. I, too, was one of those students when I went to mortuary school,” Nutter said.
Nutter is a member of the Kansas Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
