Bisnette picks up win for CHS

MARYSVILLE — Jesika Bisnette, playing number two singles, picked up the lone win for the Concordia High School girls' tennis team in the North Central Kansas League tournament on Saturday.
Concordia finished sixth as a team with two points.
Marysville won the tournament with 42 points. Chapman finished second with 37 and Clay Center was third with 29.
Bisnette, after falling 8-1 to Sarah Smith, Clay Center, in the opening round, defeated Avery Baer, Chapman, 8-7. She then lost 8-2 to Rebekah Jones, Wamego; 8-7 to Gabby Guillen, Abilene; and 8-1 to Ava Spicer, Marysville.
Lacie Duvall played number one singles for Concordia. She fell 8-4 to Julia Rieger, Clay Center; 8-0 to Elyssa Frieze, Chapman; 8-2 to Addison Denney, Wamego; 8-4 to Dighton Tokoi, Abilene; and 8-1 to Shea Kramer, Marysville.
Madelyn Stiles and Zoe Britt played number one doubles for the Panthers. They lost 8-0 to Afton Sterling and Adalyn Pfizenmaier, Clay Center; 8-2 to Tanith Elliott and Grace Merritt, Chapman; 8-2 to Sarah Jones and Brittney Crubel, Wamego; 8-3 to Amara Johnson and Adin Bruna, Abilene; and 8-0 to Rose Latta and Aubree Vering, Marysville.
Kacie Price and Daegen DeGraff, playing number two doubles, lost 8-2 to Ella Kramer and Elizabeth Larson, Clay Center; 8-2 to Clara Gfeller and Meredith Kuntz, Chapman; 8-0 to Maya Gallagher and Kyla McAdam, Wamego; 8-0 to Haylee Anguiano and Allyssa Tompkins, Abilene; and 8-2 to Kadence Spurgeon and Grace Winkler, Marysville.
