Bridwell wins home meet
Concordia High School freshman Hannah Bridwell, making her high school debut, won the invitational cross country meet that the Panthers hosted on Thursday at Concordia Golf & Wellness.
Bridwell turned in a winning time of 13:38.1 on the two-mile course.
The Panthers had just four runners and did not score as a team.
Skye Johnson, another freshman, placed 12th for Concordia in 15:51.1.
Aubrey Stahlman ran 17:31.5 and finished 25th for the Panthers.
Megan Barr was 37th in 21:41.2.
The Concordia boys also had four runners compete in the meet.
Senior Qwinter Thrash led the way for the Panthers by placing 10th in 13:09.1 on the course that was shortened to two miles because of the heat.
Draven Luecke ran 13:18.9 and finished 15th for Concordia.
Quinn Kymer was 40th in 16:36.4.
Brody Marsh placed 41st in 17:00.1.
Lance Lundine, Beloit, won the race in 11:41.1.
In the one-mile middle school race, the Concordia boys had Cale Bridwell finish second in 6:12.2.
Baron Farha was 10th in 7:07.8.
Tucker Davis finished 13th in 7:13.7 and Daniel Reedy was 16th in 7:40.0.
The Concordia Middle School girls competing, their times and placings were:
Ashlynn James, 6:44.2, third; Kiersynn Koch, 7:13.8, fifth; Addyson Schreiber, 7:17.1, sixth; Bailey Conner, 7:23.9, seventh; Addyson Stensaas, 7:37.2, ninth; and Liv Kindel, 9:37.5, 16th.
