Cash, Jessup lead Panthers to 30-16 win

BELLEVILLE — Charlize Cash and Rylie Jessup combined for 28 points to lead the Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team to a 30-16 victory over Republic County in the final game of the regular season on Thursday.
Cash led the way for Concordia with 15 points and Jessup scored 13.
The Panthers bolted to a 16-4 first quarter lead in the game.
Concordia was outscored 5-2 in the second stanza, but led 18-9 at halftime.
Republic County added five points in the third quarter, to two points for the Panthers, to make it an 18-14 game.
Concordia gave up just two points in the final period and scored 10.
The Panthers will play in the North Central Kansas League tournament beginning on Monday.
