CCCC men, women sweep 4x400 relay

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Cloud County Community College men's and women's track and field teams split the 4x400 relay at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational hosted by the University of Nebraska this past weekend.
Shadrick Tansi, Alphonse Igish, Emmanuel Wanga and Timothy Nyinguan teamed up to win the men's 4x400 for Cloud County in 3:15.66.
Isila Apkup, Leonie Beau, Pamela Milano and Vanessa Mercera won the women's 4x400 with a time of 3:50.36.
Wanga placed second in the 600-meter run in 1:19.87. Raziel Patton was sixth (1:21.27).
The Cloud County women had Milano finish third in the 600 (1:34.37) and Melody Ochana placed third in the mile (5:21.41).
Vimbayi Maisvorewa finished fifth in the 400 dash (55.66).
Miracle Thompson was eighth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.75) and Ludjenie Mondesir was eighth in the 3,000-meter run (10:38.53).
Cloud County also had athletes compete in the Herm Wilson Invitational hosted by Wichita State University.

Mohamed Ahmed, weight throw, 2nd, 62-9 ¼; Brody Vance, weight throw, 8th, 43-3 ¼; Narindra Rafidimalala, long jump, 3rd, 21-3 ¼: Andrew Betton, heptathlon, 4th, 4,597; Anson Moses, heptathlon, 8th, 4,367; Michael Iyali, mile, 6th, 4:28.93; Edwin Kipainoi, mile, 7th, 4:29.03 and 3,000, 5th, 9:00.69; Kidus Misgina, 1,000, 5th, 9:00.69; Rylan Cheney, 1,000, 7th, 2:41.36; Elmer Sotelo, 3,000, 7th, 9:21.42;  Daniel Siaffa, 600, 6th, 1:26.62; Hassan Labidi, 800, 6th, 2:01.77; Michael Iyali, 800, 8th, 2:02.80; Vincent Ugwoke, shot put, 6th, 46-0.
Cloud County was third in the 4x400 relay in 3:29.42.
