CCCC Softball Team Drops 2 Games

he Cloud County Community College softball team dropped two games to Cowley College in Jayhawk Conference Division II play Thursday at the CCCC Softball Field.
Cowley College, now 8-0 in conference play, shut out Cloud County 10-0 in the first game and won the second game, 15-6.
The Tigers scored a single run in the first and second innings in game one and then put up six runs in the third inning, and led 8-0.
Cowley College added two runs in the fifth inning.
The game ended after five innings.
Cloud County was shut out on one hit.
Taylor Dekok suffered the loss for the T-Birds. She gave up seven runs on eight hits, struck out one and walked two in two and two-thirds innings.
Jayden Rehlander allowed three runs on six hits, struck out three and walked five in two and a third innings.
Cloud County got out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning of game two.
Cowley scored one run in the top of the second inning.
Three runs in the bottom of the second gave Cloud County a 6-1 advantage.
The Thunderbirds were shut out over the final three innings.
Cowley scored two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth to close the gap to 6-4.
The Tigers then erupted for 11 runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Kiera Brack surrendered eight runs on 11 hits, struck out two and walked one in four and two-thirds innings in taking the loss.
Dekok and Taryn McKinney pitched in relief.
Emily Kvasnicka had two hits and drove in two runs for Cloud County.
Ryleigh Jones had two hits.
