CCCC softball team drops four games

ENID, Okla. — Hitting the road for the first time this season, the Cloud County Community College softball team suffered four losses.
Cloud County dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Northern Oklahoma College-Enid on Sunday to finish off the road trip.
Northern Oklahoma-Enid won the first game 14-4 and took the second game, 14-4.
Cloud County (2-4) fell 8-0 and 9-8 to Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Saturday.
The Thunderbirds grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on Northern Oklahoma-Enid in game one on Sunday.
The Jets tied the game at 2-2 with two runs in the bottom of the first.
Eight runs in the third inning gave Northern Oklahoma-Enid a 10-2 advantage.
The Jets added four runs in the fourth inning, and led 14-2.
Cloud County scored two runs in the fifth inning.
The T-Birds went up 1-0 in the top of the first inning in game two.
Northern Oklahoma-Enid answered with five runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Jets put up seven runs in the fourth inning to make it a 12-1 game.
Cloud County scored three runs in the top of the fourth, and Northern Oklahoma-Enid added one run in the bottom of the inning.
Lauren Bratcher pitched a perfect game as Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa blanked Cloud County in game one on Saturday.
Bratcher struck out nine in five innings of work.
The Mavericks scored two runs in the first inning, three in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth.
Jayden Rehlander took the loss for Cloud County. She allowed five runs on six hits and walked two in one inning.
Keira Brack gave up three runs, two earned, on one hit, struck out two and walked one in three innings.
Cloud County fell behind 1-0 in game two.
The T-Birds got a two-run home run by Emily Kvasnicka in the top of the second inning.
Northern Oklahoma -Tonkawa tied the game with a run in the bottom of the second.
Kvasnicka hit another two-run home run in a three-run fifth inning for Cloud County that made it 5-2.
A three-run triple by Kvasnicka in the top of the sixth inning gave the T-Birds an 8-2 cushion.
The Mavericks closed the gap to 8-5 with three runs in the bottom of the sixth and then scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the win.
Taylor Dekok pitched five innings for Cloud County and gave up five runs, four earned on seven hits. She walked two.
Lynsey Stewart allowed two runs on four hits and struck out one in one inning.
Taryn McKinney gave up two unearned runs in one-third of an inning in taking the loss.
Kvasnicka was 3-for-4 at the plate with seven runs batted in.
