CCCC women post 11th straight win, 4-1

Putting up three goals in the first half, the Cloud County Community College women's soccer team posted its 11th consecutive win by defeating Pratt Community College 4-1 in a Jayhawk Conference West Division match Saturday afternoon at Harold M. Clark Stadium.
Cloud County has not lost since the opening weekend of the season, and is now 11-2.
The Thunderbirds, at 9-0, remain atop the Jayhawk West standings ahead of Hutchinson Community College (7-1).
Cloud County plays at Garden City on Wednesday, hosts Barton Community College on October 16 and then finishes up the regular season at Hutchinson on October 19.
Getting off 21 shots, 12 on goal in the first half, the T-Birds would find the net when Gabriela Vargas delivered a pass into the box that Franciele Cupertino would deliver into the net to make it 1-0 in the 13th minute.
Maria dos Anjos Acassia took a ball misplayed by Pratt goalkeeper Haven Johannsen and scored just 4:05 later to put Cloud County up 2-0.
Fatima Leme scored with just over six minutes remaining in the first half to give the T-Birds a 3-0 advantage.
A second goal by Feme in the 74th minute put Cloud County on top 4-0.
Pratt, 2-12 overall and 1-8 in conference play, avoided the shutout by scoring a goal with 6:37 to play.
Cloud County finished with 26 shots in match.
Thaynara Soares shut out the Beavers in the first half. Andrea Pioquinto was in goal in the second half for Cloud County.
