CCCC wrestlers go 5-2 in Coaches Duals

MIAMI, Okla. — Picking up three wins on Saturday, the 17th-ranked Cloud County Community College finished 5-2 in the NJCAA Coaches Duals hosted by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
Cloud County split four matches on the first day of the event Friday.
The Thunderbirds then went 3-0 on the second day.
Cloud County defeated Colby Community College, 47-12.
Colby gave up five forfeits in the dual.
Bray Skinner, 133 pounds, and Emanuel Munoz-Alcala, 285 pounds, won by pin for Cloud County.
Second-ranked Ibrahim Ameer, 197 pounds, won by technical fall for the T-Birds.
Cloud County slipped past 19th-ranked Snow College, 27-23.
Dylan Ancheta, 157 pounds, and Wyatt Powell, 184 pounds, registered pins for the T-Birds.
Ameer won a 7-1 decision.
Brady Foster, 125 pounds, and Collin Smith, 141 pounds, won by forfeit.
In a rematch, the T-Birds won the consolation bracket championship by defeating number one ranked Clackamas Community College for a second time in two days, 35-17.
Powell, Munoz-Alcala and Maurice Hilbert, 165 pounds, won by fall for Cloud County.
Foster won by technical fall.
Ameer suffered a 2-0 loss to top-ranked Michael Gasper, after defeating him on Friday
Cloud County rolled to a 38-9 win over Otero Junior College in its first dual on Friday.
Skinner, Powell and Caden Crider, 141 pounds, pinned their opponents.
Ameer won a 19-2 major decision and Munoz-Acala won a 2-1 decision.
Salvador Barintas, 149 pounds, and Ancheta, won by forfeit.
Cloud County downed Clackamas, 29-23.
Munoz-Alcala secured the win by pinning Braden Pease in the final match.
Foster won by technical fall.
Ameer and Tommy Rogers, 184 pounds, won by decision.
Skinner and Smith won by forfeit.
Carl Albert College, ranked 16th, handed Cloud County its first loss, 34-12.
Foster won by fall.
Powell and Ameer won by decision.
Sixth-ranked Triton College defeated the T-Birds, 45-5.
Ameer picked up the lone win for Cloud County by technical fall.
