Chapman tops Panthers

CHAPMAN — The Concordia eighth grade boys' basketball team was beaten 46-37 by Chapman in a road game on Thursday.
Chapman led the game 8-3 after one quarter of play.
Concordia was outscored 18-5 in the second period, and trailed 26-8 at halftime.
The Panthers tossed in 12 points in the third quarter, to 10 for Chapman, and it was a 36-20 game.
Concordia added 17 points in the final period. Chapman again scored 10.
Lewis VanMeter scored 11 points for Concordia. Joey Henderson added nine points.
The Concordia junior varsity fell 35-24 to Chapman.
Chapman led 20-6 at halftime.
Concordia scored 18 points in the second half to 15 for Chapman.
Caleb Hanson scored eight points for the Panthers.
Gavin Rowland finished with six points.
