Chevy’s knock off American Legion

The Concordia Chevrolet Chevy's blew open a close game with a 10-run fourth inning on their way to a 14-3 Peewee Baseball victory over the American Legion Wednesday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Leading just 4-3, the Chevy's sent 13 batters to the plate and put up 10 runs on six hits, two walks and an error in the fourth inning to make it a 14-3 game.
The Chevy's got out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
The American Legion scored three runs in the second inning to one run for the Chevy's and the game was tied at 3-3.
One run in the third inning gave the Chevy's a 4-3 advantage.
The Chevy's then put together the big fourth inning.
Kolby Buckley and Daniel Kemling did the pitching for the Chevy's.
Elijah Versch and Dominick Bliss pitched for the American Legion.
Easton Knox had two hits and scored three runs for the Chevy's.
Colton McWhorter and Grayson Palmgren had two hits and scored two runs each.
Kemling finished with three hits.
In the other game played Wednesday night, the Knights of Columbus knocked off the Concordia Lions, 16-5.
Sending 13 batters to the plate, the Knights of Columbus erupted for 10 runs on 10 hits in the first inning.
Cale Bridwell and Jaden Farha had two hits and scored two runs each in the inning.
Jack Gilliland also had two hits.
Each team scored a run in the second inning and the Knights of Columbus led 11-1.
The Knights of Columbus added five runs in the third inning.
The Lions picked up one run in third inning and three in the fourth.
Farha, Gilliland and Maklen Brown did the pitching for the Knights of Columbus.
Nash Franz and Keagan Merritts pitched for the Lions.
Bridwell and Peyton Ryals each had three hits and scored three runs for the Knights of Columbus.
Farha and Gilliland had three hits and scored two runs each..
Brady LaBarge had two hits and scored two runs and Brown finished with three hits.
