CHS JV finishes third in quad

MARYSVILLE — The Concordia junior varsity girls' tennis team placed third in a quadrangular hosted by Marysville High School on Thursday.
Marysville won the meet with 30 points. Sabetha was second with 15 and Concordia scored 13.
Shanna Sulanka placed second in number one singles for Concordia. She defeated Miranda Redenberg, Abilene, 6-1 and Kelsey Herrmann, Sabetha, 6-4 before falling 6-1 to Ava Spincer, Marysville.
Katria Kindscher and Gracey Drury finished third in number one doubles for the Panthers. They downed Maci Meuli and Aleah Ortiz, Abilene, 6-2 and then lost 6-4 to Karsyn Meyer and Alexa Kaufman, Sabetha, and 6-1 to Shaylee Vering and Ryann Roberts, Marysville.
Jessica Kline was third in number two singles for Concordia. She shut out Milia Trate, Abilene, 6-0 and fell 6-1 to Naomi Pearson, Sabetha, and 6-0 to Zoe Zutterman, Marysville.
Kiara Rugg and Brooklyn Howard placed second in number two doubles for the Panthers. They lost 6-1 to Reonna Christensen and Danielle Ogdon, Abilene; defeated Ellawynn Laipple and Cameron Younie, Sabetha, 6-3; and lost 6-0 to Summer Seematter and Macaiah Urban, Marysville.
