CHS runners compete in Ellsworth Invitational

ELLSWORTH — The Concordia High School cross country runners competed in the Ellsworth Invitational on Tuesday at the Ellsworth Municipal Golf Course.
Concordia's Austin Kilian placed 33rd in the boys' race with a time of 20:51.79.
Alan Garcia ran 20:54.75 to place 35th for the Panthers.
Ryan Heline, Smoky Valley, was the boy's individual champion in 18:01.07.
Concordia had Harleigh Smith finish 18th in the girls' race in 26:47.60.
Moyra Barnes was 33rd for Concordia in 31:48.30 and Peyton Johnson finished 34th in 32:10.24.
Taylor Briggs, Chapman, won the race with a time of 20:07.10.
Concordia had six runners compete in the seventh grade boys' 3,200-meter race. Their times and placings were:
Joel Gross, 21st, 15:57.01; Gunnar Barnes, 27th, 16:51.09; Zakary Allen, 30th, 17:01.43; Clayton Viereck, 37th, 18;08.50; Joe Berk, 44th, 19:11.55.
Drew Elliott, Chapman, ran 13:47.57 to win the race.
Concordia's Aubrey Stahlman placed 11th in the seventh grade girls' race in 18:50.39. Ruby Genereaux finished 12th in 19:15.83.
Sophia Fruits, Smoky Valley, ran 14:37.14 to place first.
Concordia had Megan Barr place 13th in the eighth grade girls' race in 17:49.09.
Maddy Krueger, Minneapolis, finished first in 14:07.52.
Draven Luecke placed 22nd for Concordia in the eighth grade boys' race with a time of 15:54.77.
Trevor Tovar, Abilene, finished first in 12:49.84.
