Clay Center shuts out Panthers

CLAY CENTER  — The Concordia seventh grade football team was beaten 44-0 by Clay Center in the final game of the season on Tuesday.
Concordia finished the season 3-4.
Clay Center got touchdown runs of 20 and 35 yards in the first quarter to take a 14-0 lead.
A 39-yard scoring run and a two-point conversion in the second period gave Clay Center a 22-0 halftime lead.
Clay Center tacked on two more touchdowns in the third quarter to extend the lead to 36-0.
A touchdown and conversion in the final stanza made it 44-0.
Drew Sterrett rushed for 50 yards on 14 carries for Concordia.
