Cloud County Co-op downs Subway, 12-5

Jumping out to a 9-2 lead through the first two innings, Cloud County Co-op downed Subway 12-5 in Concordia Recreation Girls' Softball play Thursday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Cloud County Co-op led the game 3-0 after one inning of play.
Subway closed the gap to 3-2 with two runs in the top of the second inning.
Batting around, Cloud County Co-op scored six runs in the bottom of the second to make it a 9-2 game.
Subway picked up one run in the top of the third inning.
Three runs in the bottom of the third pushed Cloud County Co-op's lead to 12-3.
Subway added two runs in the fourth inning.
Mackenzie Gillenwater, Anna Widen and Genevieve Demanett scored two runs each for Cloud County Co-op.
In the other game played on Thursday night, the American Legion knocked off Funk Pharmacy, 18-7.
The game was tied at 6-6 through one inning of play.
Scoring six runs in the second inning, the American Legion went up 12-6.
The American Legion outscored Funk Pharmacy 6-1 in the third inning.
Morgan Lister, Addison Forshee, Camleigh Hake, Cadence Bilbrey and Rubi Trost scored three runs each for the American Legion.
