Cloud County Co-op posts 8-7 win

Cloud County Co-op scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to pull out an 8-7 win over the American Legion in Concordia Recreation Girls' Softball play Thursday night.
The American Legion had taken a 7-6 lead with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Layla Aggson and Trinity McWhorter then scored runs in the bottom of the fifth to capture the victory.
The American Legion led the game 3-2 after one inning of play.
A run in the top of the third inning put the American Legion up 4-2.
Cloud County Co-op scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning, and led 5-4.
Each team scored a run in the fourth inning, and it was a 6-5 game.
Cadence Bilbrey and Rubi Trost scored runs in the fifth to put the American Legion back on top before Cloud County Co-op rallied in the bottom of the inning.
Anna Widen scored three runs for Cloud County Co-op.
Bilbrey and Stella Trost scored two runs each for the American Legion.
In the other game played Thursday night, Subway out-slugged Funk Pharmacy, 18-14.
Subway had a 6-3 lead after one inning of play.
Outscoring Funk Pharmacy 6-5 in the second inning, Subway led 12-8.
Subway scored six more runs in the third inning, to one run for Funk Pharmacy, to make it 18-9.
Funk Pharmacy tacked on five runs in the fourth inning.
Alyssa Patterson, Avery Kueker, Addison Abitz and Piper Ferrell scored three runs each for Subway.
Breckyn Reynolds and Emma Bray scored two runs each.
Amanda Ryals scored four runs for Funk Pharmacy. Bridgett Blochlinger, Taygnn LeDuc and Bella Stuber scored two runs each.
