Cloud County DU Chapter recognized at state convention

Cloud County Ducks Unlimited Recognized at annual State Convention

WICHITA — The Cloud County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited was recently recognized at the annual Kansas Ducks Unlimited State Convention on February 22 at the Drury Broadview Hotel for its continued efforts to conserve, protect, and manage waterfowl habitat.
The Cloud County Chapter was chartered nearly 40 years ago.
During the awards luncheon, district chairman Joshua Meyer was presented with a Canada Goose Decoy award for three years of consecutive 15+% growth and an 81% increase in 2019 in his district. This district includes, Salina, Beloit and Concordia.
At the Saturday annual awards dinner, the Cloud County Chapter was recognized for its efforts in 2019 with a Tundra Swan decoy for a 15% increase for 7 years running.
Presenting this award to the chapter was Regional Director Josh Williams, a Concordia native. The chapter was also recognized as a 40K chapter for netting over $40,000.00 during 2019 and holding a “Sold-Out” event for 2019.
District chairman Joshua Meyer was recognized as the District Chairman of the Year for 2019 for his efforts in the West NCK District #16.
Attending the event from the Cloud County Chapter were Joshua Meyer, Jeff Backstrom, Darell Gallegos, Jeff Widen, Bruce Strait, Matt Farmer, Steve Champlin, Connie Williams and Regional Director, Josh Williams.
