CloudCorp names JR& Sons as builder for housing project

The community resources committee of CloudCorp is pleased to announce JR & Sons General Contracting, Inc. as the builder for the Concordia Moderate Income Housing (MIH) Project.
“We appreciate the opportunity to build new homes in Concordia, and we believe the community is ready for this new approach to subdivision development,” says Cash Reynolds, owner of JR & Sons General Contracting, Inc. “We are proud of the business we have developed with custom home construction, and we are ready to bring that same quality craftsmanship to the spec homes of the Concordia MIH Project.”
After more than a decade of working with several contractors in the Kansas City area, Reynolds returned home to Concordia and opened JR & Sons General Contracting, Inc. with his wife Mechelle in 1997.  They serve both residential and commercial construction projects, specializing in new custom home builds, including ICF construction methodology, excavation and all facets of concrete construction.
Reynolds has served as a member of the Concordia board of building trades since 2018, and is a licensed general contractor with the city of Concordia.
The Concordia MIH Project is a grassroots effort to address current housing needs in Concordia as identified by the 2022 Concordia Housing Study and Market Analysis.
Capitalizing on economic development tools available through the Kansas Housing Resource Commission, new “spec homes” will be constructed using majority-local businesses and offered for sale to moderate-income earners through the use of CloudCorp's community resources committee.  Specifically, a new residential subdivision will be developed on the former Cloud County Health Center property at 11th Street & Highland Drive, and homes will be constructed on vacant lots in established neighborhoods.
Construction of new infill homes is expected to begin in the fall of 2023, while construction of the new homes in the St. Joseph Subdivision are expected to begin in the spring of 2024.
More information about the Concordia MIH Project can be found at cloudcorp.net. This information will be updated as the project progresses.
