CNB drops opener to Marysville, 6-5

MARYSVILLE — Scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh inning, Marysville pulled out a 6-5 NCK K-18 Baseball League win over Concordia Citizens National Bank on Tuesday night.
Citizens National Bank had tied the game at 5-5 with a run in the top of the fifth inning.
A leadoff single, a hit batter and another base hit resulted in Marysville scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Marysville scored one run in the second inning and three in the third to go up 4-0.
Braytin Hake led off the top of the fourth inning with a walk. He came around to score, and Citizens National Bank trailed 4-1.
Adam Krohn walked and scored a run in the top of the fifth inning for Citizens National Bank.
Citizens National Bank pulled even at 4-4 with two runs in the top of the sixth inning.
Isaias Irigoyen led off with a double and came around to score.
Deekon Holbert walked and scored in the inning.
Marysville reclaimed the lead at 5-4 with a run on two hits in the bottom of the sixth.
Irigoyen walked with two out in the top of the seventh inning and scored on a double by Stratton Garst to tie the game at 5-5.
Marysville then scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Christian Waterman and Krohn did the pitching for Citizens National Bank.
Aden Morris had two hits in the game for Citizens National Bank.
Citizens National Bank was shut out 4-0 in the three-inning junior varsity game.
Marysville scored all four runs in the first inning.
Garst and Coleman Plymesser pitched for Citizens National Bank.
