Concordia junior varsity falls to Cowboys

Abilene defeated the Concordia JV boys' basketball team 53-33 in the Concordia Junior-Senior High School gymnasium on Friday.
Concordia trailed 13-2 after one quarter of play.
Abilene outscored the Panthers 24-14 in the second period to go up 37-17 at halftime.
Concordia scored 14 points in the third quarter, to 10 points for the Cowboys, to make it 47-31.
The Panthers were limited to two points in the final period, and Abilene scored six.
Jonathan Turner led Concordia with 12 points. Lewis VanMeter and Alan Garcia scored eight points each.
The Concordia C-team fell 47-21 to Abilene.
Luke Donovan scored 12 points for the Panthers.
