Concordia splits with Chapman

CHAPMAN — The Concordia eighth grade girls' volleyball team split a pair of matches with Chapman on Thursday.
Concordia won the first set of the first match, 25-21.
Chapman evened the match with a 25-18 victory in the second set, and then won the third and deciding set, 15-13.
The Panthers defeated Chapman in straight sets in the second match, 25-14, 25-19.
“We came out strong in the first set of the first match, but just little mistakes cost us the match,” Concordia coach Jennifer Garcia said. “In the second match, the girls came back and played amazing and won in two sets. We have some little things to work on, but overall I am pleased with how they played.”
The Concordia eighth grade B-team defeated Chapman 26-24, 16-25, 15-8 in the first match and then won the second match, 25-14, 25-19.
