Concordia sweeps Chapman

Allowing no more than 18 points in any one set, the Concordia High School volleyball team swept a pair of North Central Kansas League matches from Chapman Tuesday night in the Concordia Junior-Senior High School gymnasium.
Concordia, now 4-2 in league play, won the first match in two sets, 25-16, 25-18.
Carlie Carlgren and Kenlee Williams had six kills each for Concordia.
Carlgren also had five digs.
Shaelin Giersh and Callie Parker had three kills each.
Hanna Acree finished with 12 digs.
Baylen Arnold had seven service points.
The Panthers downed the Irish in straight sets in the second match, 25-17, 25-6.
Williams and Taylor McDaniel led Concordia with five kills each.
Carlgren, Parker and Kynlee Hamel each had four kills.
Acree had a team-high 14 digs.
Hattie Blackwood had five digs.
The Panthers will host their invitational tournament on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
The other teams competing include Riley County, Southeast of Saline, Beloit, Hanover, Clay Center, Smith Center, Marysville and the Northeast Kansas Nighthawks.
