Eighth grade blanks Fort Riley

FORT RILEY — Brandon Vignery threw for two touchdowns and Matthew Naillieux ran for two as the  Concordia eighth-grade football team shut out Fort Riley 42-0 on Thursday.
Vignery hooked up with Ayden Krier on a touchdown pass in the first quarter. Naillieux ran in the two-point conversion to give Concordia an 8-0 lead.
The Panthers extended the lead to 22-0 with two scores in the second period.
Naillieux scored on a 40-yard run. Vignery threw to Macon Farha for the conversion.
Concordia also got a 40-yard scoring run by Javon Garcia.
Two more scores in the third period gave the Panthers a 37-0 cushion.
Naillieux broke a 57-yard touchdown run.
Krier caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Vignery. Bryson Sorensen kicked the extra point.
A 70-yard touchdown run by Krier and an extra point by Sorensen put Concordia up 42-0.
Naillieux finished with 115 yards rushing on five carries.
Krier carried three times for 87 yards and had two catches for 49 yards.
Garcia had two carries for 40 yards.
Vignery completed five of five passes for 114 yards.
Grayson Farha had two catches for 65 yards.
