Eighth grade boys, girls place second

BELOIT — The Concordia eighth grade boys and girls placed second in the Beloit Junior High Relays on Monday.
Concordia scored 125 points in the eighth grade boys' division.
Beloit won the meet with 134 points and Republic County was third with 95.
The Concordia eighth grade girls scored 121 points.
Clay Center finished first with 143 points and Beloit was third with 104.
The Concordia seventh grade girls finished sixth in the meet with 64 points.
Smith Center captured the team title with 111 points. Sacred Heart was second with 94 and Clay Center was third with 90.
Concordia finished seventh in the seventh grade boys' division with 25 points.
Clay Center was first with 174. Sacred Heart was second with 94 and Beloit was third with 93.5.
Alec Francis won three events for the Concordia eighth grade boys. He went 34-5 ½ to win the triple jump and was first in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.15 and in the 200-yard hurdles in 29.18.
Torxsten Kindel was fourth in the 200 hurdles (18.27).
Aceyn Cash won the 800-meter run in 2:22.71 and the 1,600 in 5:17.03 and placed second in the high jump (5-2).
Alan Garcia was fifth in the 1,600 (5:35.10).
Stryker Hake went 17-7 ½ to place first in the long jump for the Panthers. He was second in the triple jump (35-8) and fourth in the 200-meter dash (27.38).
Dakota Brockman finished second in the javelin (122-4).
Concordia placed second in the 4x100 relay (49.90) and the 4x200 (1:54.11) and fifth in the 4x400 (4:12.44).
Chayton Alquist-Pennell finished third in the 100-meter dash (12.81).
Billy Wahlmeier finished fourth in the 3,200-meter run (12:30.74).
Bergun Kindel tied for fifth place in the pole vault (7-7).
Lance Howard placed sixth in the shot put (33-0).
Jaida Koester and Jaida Koch won two events each for the Concordia eighth grade girls.
Koester won the 400 dash in 1:04.17 and the long jump with a leap of 14-11 ½. She was also second in the 800 run (2:47.01).
Koch placed first in the 100 dash in 13.92 and the 200 in 29.61.
Kassidy Bowers was second in the 100 (14.29) and the long jump (14-1 ¾)  and fourth in the 200 (30.66).
Bailey Buckley was fifth in the 100 (14.93).
Belle Chavey went 28-2 to take first in the triple jump. She was second in the 100 hurdles (18.58).
Peyton Johnson was fifth in the triple jump (27-1 ½).
Concordia was first in the 4x100 relay (56.16) and the 4x200 (2:01.86)
and fourth in the 4x400 (5:01.23).
Moyra Barnes placed fifth in the 1,600 (7:10.44) and sixth in the 800 (3:15.02).
Cianna DeLeon finished sixth in the shot put (28-8), the 100 hurdles (21.56) and the 200 hurdles (38.18).
The Concordia seventh grade girls had Carlie Carlgren win the 100 hurdles in 18.12. She was second in the 200 dash (29.62) and the long jump (14-7 ¾).
Concordia placed first in the 4x100 relay in 58.46.
Hattie Blackwood finished second in the discus (67-2).
Abbigale Peterson placed third in the 400 (1:09.61).
Joann Plush tied for third in the high jump (4-0).
Megan Barr placed fourth in the 3,200-meter run (15:02.61).
Concordia finished fourth in the 4x200 relay (2:12.23).
Cami Anderson placed sixth in the pole vault (5-7).
The Concordia seventh grade boys recorded a second-place finish in the 4x100 relay (57.26) and a third-place finish in the 4x200 (2:01.78).
Lewis VanMeter tied for third in the high jump (4-6) and finished fifth in the 1,600 (5:56.26).
Cody Trost placed fifth in the 400 (1:07.04) and Joey Henderson was sixth in the triple jump (29-2).
