Eighth grade falls, 35-32

Marysville slipped past the Concordia eighth-grade girls' basketball team 35-32, Monday in the Concordia Junior-Senior High School gymnasium.
Concordia took a 6-4 lead in the first quarter.
The Panthers were outscored 14-9 in the second period, and trailed 18-15 at halftime.
Marysville added 11 points in the third quarter, to nine points for Concordia, to increase the lead to 29-24.
The Panthers scored eight points in the final stanza, and gave up six points.
Marlee VanMeter led Concordia with 10 points. Morgan Lister scored seven.
The Concordia B-team fell 20-16 to Marysville.
The game was tied 7-7 at halftime.
Marysville tossed in 13 points in the second half to nine for Concordia.
Bridgett Blochlinger scored seven points for Concordia.
