Eighth grade girls fall in league tournament

ST. GEORGE — Rock Creek defeated the Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team 39-18 in the first round of the North Central Kansas League tournament on Monday.
Concordia trailed 11-2 after one quarter of play.
Rock Creek outscored the Panthers 11-5 in the second period to extend its lead to 22-7 at halftime.
Concordia was limited to four points in the third quarter, and Rock Creek scored 10 to go up 32-11.
Each team scored seven points in the final period.
Jaylin Roush scored six points for the Panthers.
