Eighth grade girls post 38-17 win

SALINA — Returning to action following an unexpected break, the Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team defeated Sacred Heart 38-17 on Tuesday.
Concordia trailed 4-2 after one quarter of play.
The Panthers poured in 14 points in the second period to two points for Sacred Heart, and led 16-8 at halftime.
Sacred Heart outscored Concordia 9-5 in the third quarter to close the gap to 21-17.
The Panthers held Sacred Heart scoreless in the final stanza and tossed in 17 points.
Taylor McDaniel scored 24 points for Concordia. Charlize Cash added 11 points.
