Five junior golfers place in league

Five members of the Concordia Junior Golf program placed in the top three in their respective divisions in North Central Kansas Junior Golf league play that finished up at Beloit Country Club on Thursday.
Competitors played in tournaments at Clay Center Country Club, Concordia Golf & Wellness and Beloit and the low scores were counted toward the final total.
Mya Niehues placed first in the nine-hole girls' division with a total score of 89. Preslee Marsh finished second with a 110.
Maklen Brown was the individual champion in the boy's five-hole division with a 50. Maden Bergmann, Beloit, was second with a 57. Liam Francis, Concordia, finished third with a 61.
Sophie Buckley placed second in the girls' five-hole division with a 73.
Emma DiNuzzo, Beloit, also had a 73, and was awarded first on a tiebreaker. Breckyn Carr, Beloit, was third with a 76.
