Knights of Columbus hold off Lions, 4-2

Building a 4-0 lead through the first four innings, the Knights of Columbus held on to defeat the Concordia Lions 4-2 in Peewee Baseball play Monday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
In the other game played on Monday night, the American Legion shut out Concordia Chevrolet/Buick, 7-0.
Macon Farha walked and scored and Grayson Farha singled and scored in the bottom of the first inning  to give the Knights of Columbus a 2-0 lead on the Concordia Lions.
Peyton Ryals was hit by a pitch and came around to score in the third inning, and the Knights of Columbus led 3-0.
The Knights of Columbus made it a 4-0 game when Brady LaBarge tripled and scored in the fourth inning.
The Concordia Lions mounted a comeback in the top of the fifth inning.
Elijah Shepard led off the inning with a walk and scored the first run for the Concordia Lions.
With two out, Keith Day doubled and scored to make it 4-2.
Keagan Merritts doubled, but Knights of Columbus were able to record the final out.
Grayson Farha pitched all five innings for the Knights of Columbus.
Dakota Valcoure and Nash Franz pitched for the Concordia Lions.
The American Legion scored three runs in the top of the first inning and would not trail against Concordia Chevrolet/Buick.
Ayden Krier drove in Kasey Pearson and Brandon Vignery and scored a run in the inning.
The American Legion tacked on four runs in the fourth inning to up the lead to 7-0.
Pearson, Vignery, Krier and Landen Belden scored runs in the inning.
Krier and Vignery combined to shut out Concordia Chevrolet/Buick.
Pearson, Vignery and Krier scored two runs each.
