Panther JV defeats Beloit, 46-43

BELOIT — Outscoring Beloit 15-11 in the final quarter, the Concordia junior varsity boys' basketball team pulled out a 46-43 win in the season opener on Friday.
Concordia trailed Beloit 32-31 after three quarters of play, but rallied in the fourth to get the win.
The Panthers had a slim 6-5 lead after one quarter of play.
Beloit scored 13 points in the second stanza, to 12 for Concordia, to tie the game at 18-18.
The Trojans then added 14 points in the third period. The Panthers scored 13, and trailed by a point.
Peyton Retter led Concordia with 14 points.
Jonathan Turner scored 11 points for the Panthers.
The Concordia C-team suffered a 49-39 loss to Beloit.
Concordia led the game 24-22 at halftime, but was outscored 27-15 in the second half.
Luke Donovan scored 13 points for the Panthers. Karson Lister added nine points.
