Panthers capture 42-6 victory

FORT RILEY — Racking up over 300 yards of total offense, the Concordia seventh-grade football team rolled to a 42-6 win over Fort Riley on Thursday.
Concordia rushed for 287 yards and passed for 36.
The Panthers got out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter.
Gehrig Bechard completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Kolby Buckley for the first score. Cooper Wogomon ran in the two-point conversion.
Wogomon, who rushed for 90 yards on eight carries, scored on a 6-yard run and ran in the conversion.
Concordia added two scores in the second stanza.
Bechard had a 1-yard touchdown run.
Zach Stovall had a 10-yard scoring run.
Stovall carried the ball eight times for 137 yards in the game.
Fort Riley scored its lone touchdown in the second period, and trailed 28-6 at halftime.
Wogomon ripped off a 45-yard scoring run in the third quarter. Bechard ran in the conversion, and the Panthers were up 36-6.
Bechard added a 1-yard touchdown run in the final period.
Bechard completed two of three passes in the game.
Buckley had two catches for 36 yards.
