Panthers compete in Buhler Invitational

HESSTON — The Concordia High School girls' golf team finished 14th in the Buhler Invitational played Friday at Hesston Golf Course.
Concordia posted a team score of 499.
Hays won the tournament with a 326. Maize finished second with a 329 and Winfield was third with a  356.
Concordia was led by Emma Herman with a 114.
“Emma improved by 14 strokes from her outing in the heat at Salina Country Club on Monday and even chipped in to finish her round,” Concordia coach Gene Rundus said.
Cianna DeLeon shot a 125 for Concordia.
Brecklynn Bonner and Georgia Trost each shot 131 for the Panthers.
Concordia also had Peyton Johnson finish with a 138.
“The scores weren't where we wanted them, but there was definite improvement from Monday's tournament, so we look to build on that as we head to Clay Center next week,” Rundus said.
Kinslea Jones, Maize, shot a five-under-par 66 to earn medalist honors in the tournament.
