Panthers defeat Clay Center

The Concordia eighth-grade boys' basketball team wrapped up its regular season with a 44-38 home win over Clay Center on Thursday.
Concordia trailed Clay Center 13-10 after one quarter of play.
Each team scored 11 points in the second period, and Clay Center had a 24-21 halftime lead.
The Panthers shut out Clay Center in the third quarter and scored 12 points to go up 33-24.
Clay Center added 14 points in the final period to 11 for Concordia.
Ayden Krier led Concordia with 12 points. Brandon Vignery added 10 points.
The Concordia B-team knocked off Clay Center, 36-18.
Concordia led 13-6 at halftime.
The Panthers outscored Clay Center 23-7 in the second half
Layne Herman scored eight points for the Panthers.
