Panthers honored at banquet

Members of the Concordia High School girls' basketball team were presented awards during a banquet to honor the team on Wednesday night.
Freshman Charlize Cash was presented the Most Valuable Player Award. She led the team in scoring (7.3), rebounding (6.8), assists (3.3) and steals (2) per game and was named to the All-North Central Kansas League team.
Cash, who shot 68 percent from the line, also received the Karly Buer Free Throw Award.
Sophomore Taylor McDaniel received the Offensive Player of the Year Award. She averaged 6.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and shot 54 percent from the field.
The Defensive Player of the Year Award went to junior Carlie Carlgren who averaged 7.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.
Leadership Awards were presented to seniors Hanna Acree and Cianna DeLeon.
Kinsleigh Bethune received the Ms. Hustle Award.
The Best Teammate Award went to Tiana Jones.
Panthers receiving varsity letters include: Acree, DeLeon, Carlgren, McDaniel, Bethune, Cash, Hattie Blackwood and Rylie Jessup.
Receiving participation awards include: Jones, Madison Meyer, Jesika Bisnette, Asia Garcia, Bella Stuber, Jori Letourneau, Marlie Johnson and Lindsey Berk.
