Panthers rally past Fort Riley
Pouring in 36 points in the second half, the Concordia eighth grade boys' basketball team pulled away to a 52-42 victory over Fort Riley Thursday in the Concordia Junior-Senior High School gymnasium.
Concordia trailed Fort Riley 23-16 at halftime.
Concordia tossed in 17 points in the third quarter, to 10 for Fort Riley, to pull even at 33-33.
The Panthers then outscored Fort Riley 19-9 in the final stanza to capture the win.
Kale Schroeder scored 17 points for Concordia. Ian Loudermilk added 13 points.
Concordia was up 12-7 at the end of the first quarter.
Fort Riley limited the Panthers to four points in the second period and scored 16, to go up at halftime.
The Concordia B-team fell 33-17 to Fort Riley.
Concordia was down 13-6 at halftime.
Fort Riley scored 20 points in the second half to 11 for the Panthers.
Parker Jackson scored eight points for Concordia.
